One of the most dominating bikes in the 160 segment Apache RTR 160.All TVS lovers will keen to know that TVS has launched a great future concept the marvelous Tvs" Draken".Ever since TVS  launched the Apache RTR 180, bike enthusiasts were in high hopes of Apache’s more powerful versions including 200cc and 250cc to drop into the market sooner.

Sadly, though, it never happened. The Hosur- based two-wheeler manufacturer never launched any motorcycle that could succeed the 180cc mark. But this scenario changed at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo; TVS shocked everyone, with the unveiling of the Draken X21 concept. Draken’s design has been inspired by the naked street bikes from Europe and sports sharpness from every angle. The aluminium trellis frame, with a dull gold finishing, adds to the bike’s appeal.
One of the design highlights of the bike is its exhaust pipe. The concept bike sports a protruding

exhaust, underpinning below the engine, which according to TVS is a reverse flow exhaust system. The manufacturer claims that it hikes the power output without compromising on fuel efficiency. Draken has been loaded with features such as a full LED headlamp with daytime-running lamps, digital console and neatly sculpted bar-end mirrors. The Draken's lines were penned by TVS designers in India.

Apart from the bike’s design, its mill captures our attention in particular.  The 250cc, liquid-cooled engine employed in the Draken, pumps out an incredible 39PS @ 12,000rpm and 23Nm @ 9,500rpm. To put this power figure into perspective, the KTM 390 Duke, which is considered as a benchmark in the entry-level performance segment, produces 43.5PS  showcasing the brilliant engineering of the powerplant. The bike has been loaded with top-notch cycle parts such as upside down forks at front, off-set monoshock and aluminium trellis frame to endow the bike with great handling dynamics.
Draken gets 120mm front tyre and 160mm rear tyre, sourced from Pirelli. Braking is managed by a petal front and rear discs with ABS. Going by the words of TVS, the Draken drops clues at what the future generation Apache 250 will be like. TVS hasn’t given exact details on when the Apache 250 will hit the showrooms but it is likely to be launched in the next 18 months and the expected price would be "120000-150000"
