Incredible things you never knew existed-Hover Car

In May of 2011, automobile manufacturer Volkswagen announced the commencement of a "People's Car Project" in China which solicited Internet users in that country to submit ideas online for a "Volkswagen model of the future": is Incredible
"Volkswagen has set out to create the most innovative dialogue platform ever with the 'People's Car Project'. The platform is debuting in China, because that is Volkswagen's largest and most important market. However, we also see potential for launching the project in other markets as well," Luca de Meo, Director of Marketing, Volkswagen Group and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, explained. PCP is initially scheduled to run for a one-year period.
The fact that it's hovering inches from everyday potholes – uh, that is to say, regular everyday roads – is one of them. The People's Car uses electromagnetic levitation to get itself literally up and running (hovering, to be precise), and numerous sensors help it avoid collisions with surrounding cars and other objects.
This two-seater concept can be piloted using a joystick, and since it's omnidirectional, it can be moved forward, backward, left, and right.
The People's Car was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in China in 2012, but the accompanying YouTube video has made a comeback in the news in recent days. The hover car concept was one of over 119,000 ideas submitted during the People's Car Project that Volkswagen held in China prior to the auto show.
