HTC One M7 and M8 will recieve android Lollipop update at the end of this month

For all HTC lovers, there were a few announcements made today. .then the short of the plan, is that customers will be able to take advantage of a year’s worth of free protection, if anything should happen to their newly purchased HTC One M9. This protection mainly looks at accidental moments such as cracked screens or water damage. For instance, the protection does not extend to lost or stolen device. Although, it was announced new HTC One M8’s would also be covered by the UH OH protection.
However, during the announcement there was a ques and answer sessions with questions that had been submitted over Twitter. One of the announcements made during this particular stage was a sort of official announcement, declaring the HTC One M9 will be available to buy from April 10th. Which conveniently is the same day expected for the global launch of the Samsung Galaxy S6. Now, details were not provided on carrier availability or who would be launching on April 10th, but was more listed as the date by which customers will start having the option to buy the device.
During the same session, another user asked specifically when Android 5.0 (Lollipop) will properly rollout for the HTC One M7 on AT&T. This was largely as AT&T are seemingly quite slower than the other carriers at pushing out their updates with the likes of T-Mobile already rolling out their Lollipop update for the One M7. In answering the question, Jason Mackenzie (HTC Americas President) did state that both the HTC One M8 and One M7 on AT&T should see Lollipop landing by the end of this month. Just like the One M9 availability, no firm details or dates were given in this respect. However, he did note that he was “not happy” that it has taken this long and they are working as hard as possible to bring the update to the devices. Further suggesting that AT&T looking to add to the update had increased the delay time. However, it was also suggested that the update is currently in the certification process. So, for those waiting on a HTC One AT&T Lollipop update, it looks like it is getting closer, although, still might be as much as two weeks away.
