Apple,s predecessor smart phone 6s rumored to have 2Gb Ram
While the record-breaking iPhone6
models continue to hit headlines, rumours about their successor and the
company’s next smartphone have started to surface. Citing a source
familiar with Apple’s future plans, AppleInsider reports that the next iPhone models will come with 2GB RAM, just like seen in the IpadAir
The report adds that the new model called ‘iPhone 6s’ – and assuming it will be accompanied by a Plus version – will also support Apple SIM compatibility. Apple is known to bump the memory after a few generations, so it is quite likely that the new iPhone models may feature 2GB RAM. The additional RAM will allow iOS to leave tasks in background, without the need to refresh. However, larger RAM may affect the battery life.
Where Apple SIM compatibility goes, that may have to wait. After all, it will take away control from carriers and could lead to confusion.
Meanwhile, a follow up report on the 12.9inch iPad delay reveals some hardware details of the upcoming model. According to9To5Mac, Apple plans to add USB 3.0 ports to the new ‘iPad Pro’ or iPad Air 2 Plus or whatever Apple plans to call it. Apple is expected to start production of the new iPad in September.
The company is also believed to be working on a new external input device for the tablet. This may sound unbelievable, but Apple may also allow users to connect the new tablet to mice and keyboard. However, for now, let’s take these rumours with a pinch of salt.
